My Story:

Hi, I’m Bud — the quieter and more easygoing half of the donkey duo here at CJ’s Stable. Like my buddy Donk, I was rescued and needed a little extra care when I first arrived. I wasn’t feeling my best back then, and it took me some time to get healthy and learn that I was finally safe. With patience, love, and gentle care, I began to feel better — and that’s when my true personality started to shine.

I have a soft, gentle spirit and like to take my time getting to know people. Once I trust you, I’ll happily stand by your side for scratches or just enjoy being near you. Donk tends to be the more outgoing one, but I’m the calm presence beside him — steady, kind, and content to take life at a slower pace.

Like any good donkey, I can be a little stubborn sometimes — if something feels uncertain, I might stop to think about it for a while. But with a calm voice and a little encouragement, I’ll soon decide it’s safe and go right along. I also love rolling in the sand (it helps keep the flies away!) and sunbathing beside Donk — it’s one of our favorite ways to spend a lazy afternoon.

These days, I love relaxing in the sunshine, playing with Donk and Brody, and giving little rides to CJ’s children around the pen. I may be quiet, but I’ve got a big heart and a peaceful soul that reminds everyone that sometimes the quiet ones love the deepest. 💛
