My Story:

Hi, I’m Mae — a sturdy, stocky draft mare with a big presence and an even bigger heart. I may not be the tallest horse in the pasture, but I’m built strong and solid, and I carry myself with quiet confidence.

I’m a 10-year-old draft mare who came to CJ’s Stable from an auction, where I previously lived on an Amish farm. Change can take a little time, and I’ll admit — I don’t always make it easy to be caught. But once you’ve got me, I settle right in. I’m a good girl, kind and gentle, and I try my best to do what’s asked of me.

I have a calm, motherly way about me — protective, steady, and quietly bold. (That makes sense, considering I’m expecting a little one of my own.) I may be strong and confident, but I’m also sweet, patient, and learning to trust my new people more each day.

My best friend is Sky, who came here with me, and I’m rarely far from her side. This winter, you’ll see me doing what I love — pulling sleighs through the snow and wagons down the trail, putting my strength and steady nature to work.

I’m still getting to know everyone here, and they’re still getting to know me — but I’m finding my place, settling in, and ready to be part of many beautiful memories at CJ’s Stable. 🤍🐴
