My Story:

Well hello there, I’m Miss June — the tall, blonde, and proud lady of CJ’s Stable. With my long, flowing mane and strong build, I’ve always known how to turn heads. I carry myself with grace and confidence, and I’m not afraid to let the other horses know who’s in charge. Around here, when I give the look, everyone listens.

I loved my job and took great pride in every sleigh and wagon ride I pulled with my partner, Johnny. Whether it was a snowy evening under the stars or a sunny trail through the woods, I gave every ride my all. I’ve carried beginners on their very first trail rides, pulled families bundled up in laughter during the holidays, and showed what a true, steady horse can be.

In the pen, I was the boss mare — strong, sassy, and smart — but out on the trails, I was calm, patient, and kind. I knew my job, and I did it well. The other horses respected me, the riders admired me, and everyone who met me could feel that quiet mix of strength and elegance that made me, well… Miss June.

Eventually, arthritis in both of my back legs made the work a little harder, and I began needing joint injections each year to stay comfortable. Cassandra knew I had earned my rest, so she made the loving decision to retire me from pulling. My faithful partner, Johnny, retired alongside me — because we’ve always been a team, and she wanted to be sure we stayed together.

Now Johnny and I are living out our golden years in a beautiful retirement pasture, side by side, surrounded by peace and comfort. We may not be at the stable anymore, but the bond we share — with each other and with the people who loved us — will always be part of CJ’s Stable. 💛
