CJ’s Stable

Nestled between Lake City and Manton, Michigan, CJ’s Stable was founded in 2020 by Cassandra Joy (CJ) and her first horse, Buster — the heart of CJ’s Stable and the one who started it all. Alongside him were Storm and Beau, two of the faithful friends who helped build the foundation of our little herd.

What began as one girl’s dream has grown into a small, family-run stable filled with love, laughter, and a whole lot of horsehair. I run the stable myself, with a few wonderful helping hands -- trail guides and friends who I’m so thankful for.

My children, Case (born June 2023) and Hazel (born October 2024), may be young, but they’re already right by my side — brushing horses, greeting guests, and learning the ropes. There’s a good chance you’ll see them around the barn helping welcome riders with a smile.

We love sharing the joy of horses with people of all ages — whether it’s a peaceful trail ride, a cozy sleigh ride, or simply soaking in quiet moments in nature with horses.
